A LITTLE ROOM TO NOTICE

Privacy Policy

Your journal and meal photos live on your iPhone. GutBFF does not upload or analyze them.

Who operates GutBFF

GutBFF is operated by Hamza Wasim. Contact serevio.ops@gmail.com about privacy or your app.

Your local journal

Meal notes, symptom and feeling check-ins, water, bowel notes, day context, photos and setup choices are saved in the app’s private storage. Journal files and photos use iOS file protection. GutBFF has no journal account, automatic cloud journal or health-data analytics. These records are not uploaded during ordinary logging or review.

Your photos

Meal photos are attachments you choose from the system photo picker or take with the camera. GutBFF resizes them for local storage and removes source location metadata. You write meal notes and choose food labels yourself. There is no AI recognition, photo upload, hosted journal account or third-party meal analysis.

Apple purchases

Apple handles subscription billing. GutBFF reads Apple’s verified transaction information to grant access. Subscription status is verified through StoreKit on your iPhone. Journal content and photos are not part of purchase verification. GutBFF does not receive payment-card numbers. Manage or cancel your plan in Apple’s subscription settings.

The membership screen

Superwall delivers GutBFF’s membership screen. To provide that screen, it receives connection details such as your IP address, app and device information, an app-specific identifier and membership status. These details can be associated with the identifier. Starting with app version 1.0.3, Superwall records membership-screen views, plan selections, checkout outcomes and related technical events so we can understand and improve the purchase experience. These events are associated with app-specific user and device identifiers. Earlier versions disable SDK event analytics. Apple also sends subscription events, including purchases, renewals, expirations and refunds, to Superwall for revenue reporting. These events contain transaction identifiers, product, timing, status and purchase-value details; they do not contain your journal. We do not use this reporting for cross-app advertising tracking. It does not send journal entries, meal photos, food labels or setup answers to Superwall. Apple’s verified transactions remain the authority for subscription access. If the membership screen cannot load, you can retry. Subscription restore and your local data controls remain available.

Camera, photos, reminders and app lock

Camera access is requested when you choose Camera. The system photo picker gives access only to photos you select. Optional reminders are scheduled locally and use generic notification text. Journal lock uses Apple’s authentication system; GutBFF does not receive biometric data or your passcode.

Backups and deletion

You can export a full JSON backup with photos and setup choices, or a CSV table without photos. Restore is reviewed before changes are applied. Exported files contain private information; store them somewhere you trust. iPhone backups may contain your records. Uninstalling the app can remove local records.

Delete an entry or all journal entries in Settings. Remove setup choices separately. Local deletion does not remove your exported files or device backups, and does not cancel a subscription. GutBFF has no hosted journal account to delete.

Support and this website

If you email support, we receive the message and contact details you choose to share. You do not need to send journal entries, photos or health details. These static pages have no analytics scripts. The website hosting provider may process ordinary request logs, such as IP addresses, under its own privacy policy.

Changes and questions

This policy covers the existing Gutjoy and GutBFF releases and the membership reporting introduced in version 1.0.3, effective October 9, 2026. We will update it when the app’s data practices change. Contact serevio.ops@gmail.com with a privacy request.
